ANSI of the Week - Vol. 6 - “This too, shall pass…”

Greetings, folks.

Believe it or not, this is the sixth installation of the ANSI of the Week, and the date which it is being released in conjunction with just so happens to be Sep. 11.  So, I felt that it was fitting to post this.  This is an ANSI which I drew back when I was a far-left leaning ‘liberal hippy’, as some would call it.  I was very anti-capitalism, wanted to live off of the grid, didn’t believe in paper money, etc, and I drew this out of anger (plus creativity).

Of course, as we age, we change.  If you know me now, you can see that I’ve changed quite a bit.  Regardless of political beliefs/labels, I feel that this ANSI, which I believe was released in ACiD #100 or 1-2 packs prior, is very fitting for this particular date.

If you’re not aware, to which I don’t know how you could not be - September 11th, 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and Flight 93 which was taken down by some very brave passengers not far from where I am posting this right now - near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This ANSI also symbolizes the death of the art scene in general, my past groups that I really felt a ‘part of’, and a whole lot of pent up frustration.

I will flat out say that this is not one of my best pieces, but it just flowed out of me - almost like automatic writing/drawing.

So without further ado… I bring to you, The ANSI of the WEEK - Vol. 6 - “This too, shall pass…”.  It was drawn and released under the ‘reevolution’ pseudonym, and I really hope you like it.

Enjoy.
