So, WTF is EschaTON?:

Well... first off, welcome to the most popular place in all of interworld! Your question will be answered shortly. This is the official [The italics make it more important!] Blog of EschaTON Productions. EschaTON Productions is an independent media creation, promotion & distribution "label", which specializes in Electronic Dance Music and Hip-Hop, though we're always interested in anything FRESH. We also run our own recording studio as well - 2012 Studios. Both EschaTON Productions and 2012 Studios are based out of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Here's a quick history and rundown of how this all started: When?: Circa 2003. Where?: "Diamond City", a.k.a. Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Who?: 2 knuckleheads, better known as Diesis-I and Re: Evolution. What?: Along with DJ Hersh, the 2 knuckleheads did "Mic Check on WReKC" - a weekly Hip-Hop radio show on 88.5FM WRKC, King's College. This, along with the amazing D&B and [the now nearly extinct] Hip-Hop scenes, inspired Re: Evolution and Diesis-I to start focusing on creating original music of their own which resulted in the birth of EschaTON Productions. Why?: Even though the D&B and Hip-Hop scenes were thriving at the time - original production and album releases were nearly unheard of. We both knew that there was and still is talent in this city waiting to be set free. Unfortunately, for every talented MC, DJ, Producer, etc., there are five posers with nothing more than a desire to be paid attention to. We are NOT about: ego, quantity over quality, "swagger" or having connections. We do this with dedication, passion, creativity, strict quality control and a love for the music. This is art, not business. How?: That's only sometimes. Journalism majors take note. We work in nearly every aspect of music [and video!]. Within the studio[2012 Studios!], we are well-versed in song/album writing, structure & arrangement, production, recording, mixing, mastering, pressing and distribution. Outside of the studio, we offer Promotion [Digital and Physical], the RIGHT Gigs ["If I'd known beforehand that I was playing a Bar Mitzvah, I would have brought something OTHER than my Acid House collection!"], Lighting Design, FOH/Monitor Mixing for live performances, Session/Temporary Musicians, plus much more.
